What to Expect

Getting Out of Pain, and Laying a Foundation for a Long Life Full of Joy

We want everyone who comes through our door to have a complete picture of what they can expect at our clinic, with no surprises. At your first visit, the doctor's assistant will guide you through some basic paperwork (save time by printing and filling out the forms here) and help you settle in and feel welcome in the office. Then, the assistant will take you to the examination room, and take some basic vitals (height, weight, seated blood pressure, and a scan of your feet). We have a short video to show our new patients that gives you more specific info about chiropractic. Then, you'll have some time to talk with the doctor about what brings you to us, followed by some tests and scans and maybe x-rays to rule out more serious health problems to determine how he can best help you in your recovery process!

Patients often go through 3 general "phases" of treatment with us:

Phase 1: Crisis Care

If you are in pain or have other major symptoms when you come into our office, the first objective is to help you feel better. Depending on the severity of your problem, it is typical to need care 2 to 3 times per week for anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks.

Not everyone needs this phase. Children, for example, don't generally have the long-standing complicated spinal issues that plague many of us grown-ups due to previous accidents or faulty posture. And many adults enjoy chiropractic for its ability to help them maximize their health potential and achieve optimum function in daily life, to keep themselves above the minimum and stop pain and problems before it arises in the first place.

We can work with you on monthly payments that fit within your budget. Ask the front desk for details, or see our payment options page. This phase is usually at least partially covered by insurance in most cases.

Phase 2: The Critical Transition

During this phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, thereby helping prevent injury. It is typical to need care 1-2 times per week for a several more weeks, depending on your overall health and the severity of your problem. It may be that the pain or symptom that brought you to us starts to feel better at this point, but there have typically been no long-term changes in the body. It is important that you stick with us during this phase, or you'll just bounce right back to where you were.

Regular examinations are required to ensure proper monitoring of your health as we go.  Our office usually does these every 12 visits.  We understand that people's schedules get hectic, though, so we can work with you on this if you ask.

Phase 3: Living Your Best Life

We want all our patients to be able to enjoy optimum health. What sort of lifestyle will help you enjoy yourself most fully, no matter how old you are? We propose that chiropractic can be a major part of your success in this journey. Move beyond a negative focus, and living from problem to problem, and make chiropractic a regular part for your whole body! You can get started right now.  Most people in this phase, which we call "lifestyle care", typically come in for a monthly "tune-up" just to keep them at their peak.

We would love for you to make regular adjustments a part of your life like we do for our own health, to ensure that you enjoy every moment of your life to its fullest. Take control of your health!  Be advised, however, that insurance (including Medicare) will not cover lifestyle care.  We have financial options in place to assist you in getting to 100% life, health, and energy.  Just ask!

Whether you seek us out for a particular problem, are coming from regular chiropractic care in another town and wish to make us your Juneau chiropractor, are just passing through town and need urgent help right now, or are just interested in how chiropractic can benefit you, we welcome you with open arms!
